Mamre Oaks in the Book of Genesis 18:1-15 is where Abraham welcomed three strangers, and provided food and rest to them. These strangers turned out to be angels sent by God with a message that Sarah will be with child in her old age.
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2)
Mamre Oaks is a place of:
HOSPITALITY – a relationship of welcome and acceptance as the angels, though total strangers, are welcomed and rested in the tent.
NOURISHMENT where the angels were given food and drinks by Abraham to strengthen and to empower them in their journey
GOOD NEWS as Sarah embraced the miracle of bearing a child at her old age
HOPE as the impossible is made possible
Mamre Oaks symbolizes a tree of life that is life-giving to all who comes.
