Mamre Oaks Ltd works closely with the community and welcomes people who are inspired to join us as befrienders of our adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and to work alongside with them in the daily programs and activities. We are also open to volunteers who may have programs and activities that will benefit our members.

My Time at MAMRE OAKS
MEMORABLE – Every time at MO is a new experience witnessing new behaviours, attitudes, eagerness shown by our members.
AMUSED – by their behaviour and attitudes. There are good days and not so good days. I have learnt to understand them better.
MOVED – by their responses to certain activities – love them, don’t like them, try to do them.
REASSURED – that if we do something out of love, their responses might surprise us.
EXCITED – with some of their enthusiasm and eagerness to do well in projects, baking or cooking.
OBLIGATED – to help them and be a friend to them.
ACCEPTED – glad to be accepted by the members.
KEEN – to journey with them whenever I’m around.
SATISFIED – that I have tried my best to engage them in planned activities and receiving some positive results.
My best wishes for the coming year.

My experience at Mamre Oaks. Date joined 11 Nov 2015.
The members at Mamre Oaks have so much to teach me! They have more challenges to face than what I have! Each one, like me, have his/ her limitations – however it is heart-warming to see their efforts with help and encouragement from staff and volunteers.
Mamre Oaks is a beautiful place to come to. Joseph Lim, as Centre Manager, is a very humble, prayerful and approachable person. The Staff, Cherie, Esther, Samantha and Alex are all easy to relate to and are always welcoming. Not forgetting Kathy and Henry. The volunteers are also very friendly and helpful. One of the activities I enjoy is “Outing”!!! Cooking – I am also given the opportunities to learn cooking different dishes as I take instructions from the experts, as they show the members.
We are a member organisation of Caritas Singapore and we leverage on Caritas’ Volunteer Management System for our pool of volunteers. Thus, all volunteers-to-be will be required to sign up with Caritas Singapore, by clicking the below link.
